Bring your kids down to Manchester Fort Shopping Park during the Summer Holidays safe in the knowledge that if your child should wander off, a pioneering safety scheme at the park offers a hotline number to help re-unite lost children with their parents or guardian whilst our shopping.
Manchester Fort is part of a growing number of shopping schemes around the country that implement the Child Safe Zones initiative. Bright eye-catching window stickers and posters around the shopping park display a dedicated emergency number 08700 46 37 13 to ring to help parents and guardians communicate quickly with the parks security staff to re-unite them with their children. Anyone who finds a lost child can also ring the number.
The scheme also provides children with free wristband for parents contact numbers so that, in the event of a child being lost, the parent or guardian can be contacted quickly. These wristbands are available within all the stores at Manchester Fort free of charge.
Philip Byrne, centre manager at Manchester Fort says This is a very important scheme at Manchester Fort, particularly with the summer holidays coming up the timing of Missing Ted Bear couldnt be better and will give parents peace of mind as they shop with their children.
'Anyone who has lost a child knows that dreaded moment when they turn round and their child is out of sight and its just as distressing for the child. This scheme is simple, effective and free and means a search can get underway as quickly as possible to minimise the anguish. We encourage all parents to come and get one of the free wristbands'
And while your little one is having fun looking for Ted Bear you can shop yourself in one of the 33 high street stores including Next, Asda Living, TK Maxx, Argos, Outfit and Borders.
