CHILD SAFE FIREWORKS DISPLAY WITH MANCHESTER FORT AND MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL
The extremely popular Heaton Park Bonfire and Fireworks display on Wednesday 5th November, will be a safer place for kids this year thanks to Manchester Fort Shopping Park and Manchester City Council. At the event Manchester Fort promotional girls will be handing out FREE child safety wrist bands to all the children attending on the night. On these wrist bands parents/guardians can write their contact numbers and should any child get separated from their parents on the night they can be quickly contacted and re-united.
These safety bands are part of a pioneering safety scheme that currently runs at Manchester Fort Shopping Park, Cheetham Hill, where a hotline number is also in action to help re-unite lost children with their parents or guardian whilst our shopping.
Commenting on the initiative ???? from Manchester City Council said:
“Anyone who has lost a child knows that dreaded moment when they turn round and their child is out of sight and it’s just as distressing for the child. This scheme is simple, effective and free and by using the wristbands a search can get underway as quickly as possible to minimise the anguish. We encourage all parents at the event to make sure they pick up one of the free wristbands”
