Missing Ted Bear was a fun safety initiative that took place at Manchester Fort Shopping Park recently to help make young children aware of how to be safe whilst out shopping with mum and dad and to have fun at the same time. They were asked to see if they could spot Ted Bear in one of the 33 stores at the Park. Over 400 children entered the competition.
Manchester Fort is part of a growing number of shopping schemes around the country that implement the Child Safe Zones initiative. Bright eye-catching window stickers and posters around the shopping park display a dedicated emergency number to ring to help parents and guardians communicate quickly with the park’s security staff to re-unite them with their children. Anyone who finds a lost child can also ring the number.
