MANCHESTER FORT GETS ‘FINGER LICKING GOOD’
With all the doom and gloom in retail, Manchester Fort Shopping Park, Cheetham Hill, is pleased to announce that it is getting bigger and better with the opening of two more stores at North Manchester’s premier shopping destination. The first store, which opened the doors this week to hungry customers was KFC, the world’s leading chicken restaurant. The new 3,500sq ft (325 sq m) catering outlet has 62 covers, 5 till points and also incorporates a ‘drive through’ facility. This can be accessed directly off the large car park or from the new right hand turn, recently constructed on the scheme.
Commenting on the recent opening, Leon King, store manager at KFC said; 'The first week of trading has been incredible with sales of 1.5 times what was expected. We received over 4,500 customers through our doors and 2,275 vehicles using the drive through. Such a fantastic early response to our new restaurant, shows what an excellent shopping destination Manchester Fort is with this great footfall of hungry shoppers.'
The second 5,000 sq ft (465 sq m) store, which has been signed this week is Poundworld, who are currently fitting out the new shop and will be opening it’s doors in the Autumn.
Commenting on the new lettings Philip Byrne, centre manager said 'I am delighted to see KFC and Poundworld joining us and coming to Manchester Fort Shopping Park, when other schemes are now losing tenants we continue to gain them in this competitive market. We hope soon to announce further lettings which are currently in solicitors hands.'
KFC will be joining a great line up of catering destinations at the scheme including Subway, Greggs, Pizza Hut, Costa, Thorntons and Starbucks. All perfect places to stop for a bite when you spend a busy day shopping at the many major high street stores at Manchester Fort Shopping Park.
